Title: Production Manager

Start: Early October
Salary: £32k -£38k
Contract: Permanent - 40hrs Week

Location: London Based (Essential). Hybrid working, with 2-3 days per week at ISHKAR’s Shop or Studio space on Columbia Road, East London.
Holiday: 25 Days + Public Holidays

It may be needed on occasion to support the wider ISHKAR team with events. Some of our events take place outside of London, over the weekend, and after 6pm. TOIL will be applicable.

ISHKAR is looking for an exceptional Production Manager to join our team. This position will be responsible for overseeing ISHKAR’s supply chain from A-Z, from production - liaising directly with our artisan partners, overseeing quality control, onboarding new makers - to logistics and inventory planning and management.

This role sits at the very heart of the business, ensuring ISHKAR grows with demand in a cost-effective, scalable and sustainable way. The production manager will collaborate closely with the commercial and creative director, playing a crucial part in delivering ISHKAR’s ambitious vision to place craftsmanship from the places where we work on a pedestal with the world’s finest makers.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Production:
* Managing the ongoing production of all ISHKAR products including retail, wholesale, trade and bespoke
* Manage supplier relationships & keeping an ongoing dialogue with all ISHKAR production partners

Product Development Support:
* Assessing logistical and financial viability for all new products
* Conduct a review during product development stages for new line items to ensure the supply chain is viable
* Support Creative Director in identifying and onboarding new suppliers
* Identify areas where modifications to the product or raw material sourcing could be improved
* Technical product support

Inventory Management:
* Stock forecasting and planning
* Reviewing sales data to generate accurate stock level forecasts that dictate our purchase orders
* Managing ISHKAR’s Inventory Management system

Finance & Logistics:
* Draw up and place all ISHKAR Purchase Orders with partners and suppliers
* Be the point of contact between suppliers and the finance manager regarding payments
* Identify, and regularly review, most cost-effective shipping solutions from suppliers and to customers
* Manage imports of all products


IDEAL CANDIDATE

* Strong interest or previous experience working in the artisan sector
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
* Self-motivated and entrepreneurial by nature, with the ability to work to tight deadlines and changing priorities.
* Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly with a diverse range of partners.
* High attention to detail and be able to perform administrative tasks quickly and accurately.
* Positive, problem solving attitude, keen to drive positive change.

*Fluency in Dari would be an asset
