Sabbara is a social enterprise working inside and outside Syria to give economic, psychological and social support to women and children caught in the current conflict.
Founded in 2011, Sabbara provides income and empowerment for vulnerable women. Sabbara's women produce high--‐end home ware products such as cushions, tablecloths, and bedspreads, and accessories such as wallets, bags, purses and shawls. All are handmade, embroidered and crocheted. We have also provided funding to a number of women to start their own small businesses inside Syria.
Currently Sabbara employs 200 women, inside Syria and Beirut.
