Elise Blanchard is a French journalist and photographer, based in Afghanistan for four years, including two with the AFP bureau in Kabul.
On a break from the agency, she currently works as a freelancer, as a correspondent for French daily Ouest France, and with Afghan media The Killid Group.
She received her dual master’s degree in journalism from Sciences Po in Paris and Columbia University in New York.
