This photograph is of an Afghan boy who leaves his tent on the rooftop of their home in Kabul, Afghanistan. Housing in Kabul has become increasingly scarce, and the capital city is considered to be the fifth fastest growing city in the world. As Afghans have been driven from rural areas by fighting and insecurity, and drawn to the capital by the promise of economic opportunities, Kabul has grown from 1.5 million residents in 2001 to approximately 6 million by todays estimates.Farshad Usyan
