Saeeda Etebari is an inspiring designer and maker. After loosing her hearing as a child living in a Pakistani refugee camp she spent most of her time drawing while her siblings attended school. After returning to Kabul following the fall of the Taliban, she discovered a talent for making and designing jewellery.
Today much of her work is inspired by nature's elements. With support from the Turquoise Mountain Foundation her work has been exhibited at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington D.C and Buckingham Palace in London.
Designing a piece that somebody will wear is a special experience for me. I love making a connection with someone through a shared sense of beauty.Saeeda
