From Generation to Generation
Born in 1979 in Kabul, woodworking has been a central part of Mansour’s life from an early age. His father, a very skilled artisan in wooden furniture, passed his knowledge down to Mansour and his brothers. They have all followed in his father’s footsteps and helped build up the family business. This is a tradition that Mansour is keen to continue, teaching members of his family and his local community traditional woodworking techniques.
These techniques are deeply rooted in Afghanistan’s history and are a longstanding traditional art form. They must be continued and I am proud to be a part of keeping the craft aliveMansour Armaghan
